The 7 ½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle / Blackheath Manor Cocktail

What happens when you combine a murder mystery with Groundhog Day and a little Quantum Leap? The 7 ½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. Evelyn will die every day until the protagonist can identify her killer and break the cycle. But every time the day begins again, he wakes up in the body of a different guest at Blackheath Manor. And he has no idea how he even came to be there or who he was before this started. This ambitious mystery definitely keeps you on your toes.

In honor of the eerie setting and the mystery that slowly unravels, I made a cocktail inspired by the spooky setting, Blackheath Manor. With black cherries and a dash of orange, lemon, maple, and mystery – this cocktail is sure to please.

Blackheath Manor Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • ½ ounce Grand Marnier
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp maple syrup
  • ¼ tsp black cherry preserves
  • Ice cubes

Directions

Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with a good handful of ice. Shake vigorously – enough to really break up the preserves. Strain into a frosted glass and serve.
