Pippa Fitz-Amboi, an extraordinarily focused high school senior, decides to focus her senior capstone project on her small town’s most buzzworthy, unsolved crime: the murder of Andie Bell. What begins as a simple proposal focusing on the media coverage of the investigation, quickly turns into Pippa doing an in-depth investigation of her own full of unexpected twists and turns. After teaming up with the alleged murderer’s brother, the pair spiral into a web of danger and obsession, and quickly wonder if they’ve gotten themselves in too deep.
While uncovering new evidence, possible motives, and a laundry list of suspects, it is the small things that eventually add up and break the case wide open. One of those little things is a seemingly innocuous missing package of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
In honor of those small details, I decided to make a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Pie.
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Pie
- 1 graham cracker or oreo pie crust
- 8oz container Cool Whip
- 6oz cream cheese
- ½ cup peanut butter
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups chopped mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
Blend the cream cheese, peanut butter and powdered sugar together with a mixer.
Fold in Cool Whip and one and a half cups Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
Pour in pie shell.
Top with remaining chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
