The Honey Don’t List is a romance about two personal assistants who find love while trying to keep their bosses’ marriage from imploding. This is the first Christina Lauren book I have read, and it was a quick and enjoyable read. I’ll admit I did picture Chip and Joanna Gaines in the place of Rusty and Melissa Tripp.
In honor of the Honey-Do Lists that Melissa is famous for leaving for her husband (and the millions of dollars at stake), I decided to make a Honey Bourbon Gold Rush cocktail. I would definitely need a cocktail or two after having to deal with the drama created by the Tripps.
Honey Bourbon Gold Rush
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon water
- 1 ½ ounces bourbon
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- Lemon slice for garnish
Combine honey and water in a cocktail shaker; stir until the honey is dissolved. Add bourbon and lemon juice. Fill the shaker three-fourths full of ice, cover and shake until chilled, about 20 seconds. Strain the cocktail into a rocks glass filled with ice and garnish with lemon slice, if desired.
